Direct Admission

Admission Process:

Candidates must have at least 50% marks in their graduation (45% for reserved categories) and should have cleared any recognized national or state-level entrance exam.

The admission process involves several steps:

1. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories). Additionally, applicants should have a valid score in one of the following entrance exams: CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT, GRE, GATE, CMAT, or state-level tests like MAH-CET, KMAT, PGCET.

2. Application Process:

   • Fill out the online application form available on IBA’s official website.
   • After registration, you’ll receive a User ID and Password via your registered email for future reference.
   • Pay the application fee of INR 750 through Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, or Demand Draft.
   • Upload the necessary academic documents and submit the form. A PDF copy of the filled application form will be sent to your registered email.

3. Selection Process:

   • Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their entrance exam scores and academic records.
   • Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in GD and PI rounds. These are conducted across various cities, including Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and others.
   • Final Selection: The final selection is based on a composite score considering entrance exam performance, academic records, work experience, Statement of Purpose (SOP), GD, and PI. The weightage for each component is as follows:
     • Entrance Test Score: 20 marks
     • Academic Record & Work Experience/Extra-curricular activities: 35 marks
     • Statement of Purpose (SOP): 10 marks
     • Group Discussion (GD): 10 marks
     • Personal Interview (PI): 25 marks
     • Total: 100 marks

4. Admission Offer:

   • Selected candidates will receive an admission letter via email and post within 3 to 4 working days after the selection process.
   • Candidates must confirm their acceptance by sending a confirmation email within the specified date mentioned in the admission letter.
   • Pay the prescribed fee by the date specified to secure the admission.
