Direct Admission

Admission Process:

Admission to the MBA program is based on the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), followed by Group Exercise, Personal Interaction, and Written Ability Test (GE-PIWAT). Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) from a recognized university.

To gain admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Bengaluru, candidates must follow a structured process:

  1. Eligibility Criteria:

    • Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, a minimum of 45% is required.
    • Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they achieve the requisite marks upon completion.
  2. Entrance Examination:

    • Prospective students must register and appear for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), a mandatory entrance exam for SIBM Bengaluru. The SNAP test assesses candidates’ aptitude in areas such as General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.
  3. Application Process:

    • First, register for the SNAP test by paying a fee of ₹2,250 per test.
    • Subsequently, apply specifically to the SIBM Bengaluru MBA program by paying an additional ₹1,000
  4. Selection Process:

    • Based on SNAP scores, shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in further evaluation stages, which include:

      • Group Exercise (GE): Assesses group dynamics and problem-solving skills.
      • Personal Interaction (PI): Evaluates individual aspirations, competencies, and fit for the program.
    • The final merit list is compiled considering the following weightages:

      • SNAP Score (scaled down to 50): 50 marks
      • Group Exercise (GE): 10 marks
      • Personal Interaction (PI): 40 marks
      • Total: 100 marks
