Direct Admission

For MBBS Admission:

1. NEET UG qualification is mandatory (as per NMC rules).

2. Direct admission means management/NRI quota seats, not skipping the NEET process.

3. Admission is generally through:

   • Deemed University Counseling conducted by MCC (Medical Counseling Committee)

   • Or sometimes via management quota with higher fees.

✅ Eligibility:

• 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology

• Minimum 50% aggregate marks (General category); 40% (Reserved categories)

• NEET-UG qualified (no exceptions).

Placement

1. Medical College Placement Scenario (General Context):

Unlike engineering or management colleges, medical colleges in India typically don’t have a formal campus placement process. Instead, students move on to:

• Internships

• Postgraduate studies (MD/MS)

• Government or private hospital jobs

• USMLE/PLAB/NEET-PG/FMGE for higher studies or international opportunities

2. Internship Opportunities:

• After completing the MBBS course, students must undergo a 1-year mandatory internship (CRRI – Compulsory Rotating Residential Internship).

• Internship is done within the teaching hospital (R.L. Jalappa Hospital and Research Centre) attached to the college.

• Interns get hands-on clinical training across all major departments.

3. Job Opportunities After MBBS (via college or alumni network):

• Some students get absorbed into the college hospital itself (R.L. Jalappa Hospital) as junior residents.

• Others pursue jobs in private hospitals, government health services, or rural postings.

• The college has a decent alumni network which may help with hospital connections or higher education guidance.

4. Postgraduate Students (MD/MS):
