Direct Admission at RRMCH – Overview

While all MBBS and MD/MS admissions are based on NEET scores (as per NMC rules), RRMCH does offer management/NRI quota seats, which are often referred to as “direct admission” because they have a relatively easier selection process — but still require NEET qualification.

Eligibility Criteria

For MBBS:

  • Must have passed 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with at least 50% marks (40% for reserved categories).

  • NEET-UG qualification is mandatory, even for management or NRI quota.

For MD/MS:

  • Must hold an MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.

  • Must have completed a 1-year internship.

  • NEET-PG qualification is mandatory.

Direct Admission Process (Management/NRI Quota)

  1. Qualify NEET (UG or PG)

  2. Register for Karnataka State NEET Counseling through KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) – kea.kar.nic.in

  3. Choose RRMCH under Management or NRI Quota during counseling.

  4. If selected, submit documents and pay the prescribed fees to confirm your seat.

  5. Attend college for further admission formalities and orientation.

Placement

1. Internship Opportunities (MBBS & PG)

  • All MBBS students undergo a 1-year compulsory rotating internship at RRMCH’s own 1100+ bedded hospital.

  • This internship is stipend-based, and students gain hands-on experience across departments like General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, OBG, Orthopedics, etc.

  • Postgraduates (MD/MS) also get stipends and work closely under consultants as part of their training.

2. Job Opportunities After Graduation

  • Most MBBS graduates pursue PG (MD/MS) or prepare for exams like NEET-PG, USMLE, PLAB, etc.
